Fuerteventura Corralejo

Corralejo is one of the main tourist resorts on the island, with a focus on tourism and though it is important for this town it has not taken over, seen by the fact buildings are strictly low rise. The centre is full of restaurants and bars to keep you entertained.

The main attraction here is the amazing 10km of white dunes to the south of the town, which are protected as a natural park. It can be windy here, a paradise for windsurfers and surfers but sun bathers need not worry as little stone walls have been erected to shelter them from the wind.

Sports such as diving, windsurfing and surfing are popular here. You can also go on boat and fishing trips.

Fuerteventura Isla de Lobos

Isla de Lobos is an island to the north of the island, inhabited only by a few fishermen, that can be reached by taking a ferry ride of 35 minutes from Corralejo. It is small, being only 5km square and is practially deserted.

Once there you can walk around the island and picnic on the attractive beach. You could also have lunch at the Chiringuito by the port (although it advisable to book when you arrive).

In the centre of the island there is a lake with crystal clear water full of incredible marine life.
