Caleta de Fuste (El Castillo)

Calet de Fuste is the nearest of the main resorts to the airport. It is ideal for families and those seeking a relaxing holiday. There is an attractive golden beach with shallow waters and many sporting facilities.

The centre is full of shops and bars, adjacent to the beach.

Antigua

Antigua is one of the bigger inland towns on Fuerteventura. Situated between Betancuria and Caleta de Fuste it is quite an important town in the region.

The area contains many archaeological sites such as Corraletes, Atalayita and Rosita del Vicario, with Antigua itself containing many examples of Canarian archecture seen in the windmills and the church of Nuestra Señora de Antigua.

Molina de Antigua is one such windmill. Entry is free and around it there is a cactus garden with indigenous plants.
